Multiplicity of sources of information on Internet sites such as "Google" and "Facebook" and the database of international films and other works to change the way remind us of different things.
Often one finds it difficult to remember some of the information or be the name of a representative on the tip of his tongue does not remember, instead of making some effort to remember the information, the simple steps on the computer keyboard and you have the answer in seconds.
The result of this ease of access to information many of us have become dependent on external sources to get information without reliance on memory and this is what the researchers called the "Google effect", as indicated by the Journal Science in its previous issue.
Says Betsy Sparrow, assistant professor, Department of Psychology at Columbia University in New York City: "It has become the Google site is a form of external memory."
She says "the Internet represents the memory of the College. Through it you can get any information at any time and very quickly with little effort. As a result, we became more dependent upon remembering information."
